Mobberley miniatures aims to bring the magic our ponies gift to us every day to you. Our beautiful miniature ponies; Danny, Harri and Jack, are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face and always bring delight wherever they go.

We are licenced with Cheshire East Council: CE/RE27/300923 and approved by vets.

Meet the Mobberley miniatures

Adorable. Friendly. Unique.

Meet the ponies who are behind Mobberley Miniatures.... they are utterley gorgeous. hey have the best personalities and are sure to bring the magic and sparkle to any event. Our ponies are well loved family pets, and we are so happy that we are able to share our precious ponies with you all.

Danny

Danny Boy joined my family Christmas 2018. He is12 years old and is a very unusual colour, he is a mouse dun and has a dorsal stripe along his back. I saw him advertised one evening and drove up the M6 the following morning to view him. As soon as we saw him we knew he would be perfect for our daughter, not only to learn with but also to be her best friend. Danny has exceeded all expectations. He is just fabulous. He has been used in therapy, birthday parties, christenings, he goes to the beach, round the roads, he has even appeared in a Warner Bros music video for the 'Goodboys'. His favourite things are little people and carrots! He really is a mothers dream, you cannot help but love him.

Flash Jack

Flash Jack joined our family in early spring, 2021. We purchased Jack from one of Europe's finest breeders of miniature gypsy cobs. Jacks sire (dad) has been part of the Guiness advert and now lives in America.
We bought Jack for our daughters to progress with after our two shetlands, Danny and Harri.
Jack is 11hh and is 4 years old and is blue roan and white in colour - he is quite unusual like our two shetland ponies. Jack loves everyone he meets, and has the most gorgeous temperament. It is a dream to have him as part of our family. His favourite thing to do is have a leisurley hack down to the local pub, with half a pint of guiness.

Milky Bar

We purchased Milkybar in July 2022. He was originally used for breeding and was a carriage driving pony. We have trained him to be a fantastic children's pony, and he is one of our most popular ponies.

Marshmallow

Marshmallow is our nicest addition to join the herd! He is a miniature gypsy cob x welsh pony and measures just 10hh. He is perfect for smaller children.
He is a real life unicorn, and the children all adore him. We purchased him from Appleby horse fair in June. My two girls spotted him from afar, we made our way over through the crowds, but by the time we got there Marshmallow had vanished. we went back the next day, and i said to James, if we see him again then its meant to be... and right there, almost as if he was under the spot light, he stood directly in front of me! We made a deal with the guy who was selling him and then they delivered him to us on their way back from the fair!
Since we have owned him, he has done some shows, lots of hacking pony club etc and he is honestly fantastic. He is a firm favourite with us. My little girl, Honey who is 3, is his main rider and between myself and my two girls, we have trained him to ride and they are very proud to have achieved this.

Minstrel

NOW SOLD Minstrel joined us earlier this year, just before Marshmallow. He was actually from a very famous gypsy family. He is the biggest pony we have on our licence and is suitable for older children and also adults who are wanting to learn to ride. He is a true confidence giver and loves attention.

Becky

Hi, I'm Becky and I am the owner of the ponies and will be the one who brings the ponies to the events, holds the parties, lessons, along with one or two of my lovely helpers. I live in Mobberley with my husband, our two young daughters and most recently a baby boy, and our boxer dog. I adore all my family and animals and I can't wait for you to meet the Mobberley Miniatures and all they have to offer.

A bit about me; I am a mum of three, I have two daughters who are 5 years old and 3 years old, they keep me pretty busy along with the animals and horses at the farm. Early 2023 we welcomed a baby boy.

I am a professional Dressage rider and have completed the British Horse society exams, and I am also a British Dressage qualified UKCC coach. I regularly go out and compete my own horses and have qualified for young horse championships and the British Dressage National Championships.

Harri

NOW SOLD TO A WONDERFUL HOME
Harri belonged to a lady who is one of the UKs best breeders of Shetland ponies, Jo Tetlow of Kalipso Stud. Harri caught my eye instantly with his unique colouring. He is just one of three mushroom shetlands in the UK. Harri was originally bred in France and then imported over to the UK. He has a couple of foals that were born in 2021. I bought Harri from Kalipso stud in June 2020 and he is perfect. He is just 4 years old, but already is following in Danny's footsteps. He has been part of my daughters birthday parties, he has visited grandparents and offered great therapy alongside Danny. He also took part in a new music video produced by Warner brothers 'Bongo Cha Cha Cha' by the Goodboys. He loves little people and carrots! Harri is an absolute gem, and is every little girls dream pony. He is truly wonderful.

SunDance

NOW SOLD! SunDance Is a 5 year old gypsy cob. We are hoping to add him back onto the licence later this year. He is undergoing some more training. He was originally a driving pony and has been recently gelded.

A birthday party to treasure forever

Birthday parties at Mobberley Miniatures are gorgeous. They are one of a kind and we have had amazing feedback. We have a decorated under cover area, and can hold parties all year round. All the children (aged 2 and above) are able to ride the pony/unicorn/pegasus* and have a wonderful time. They are hard to put into words but they are really special. We have now added the option to add on some amazing extras, including build a bear (unicorn), Candy floss Cart, Pegasus rides and much more!

A £50 deposit will secure your party date. The remaining balance is due 24 hours beforehand.

Meet and Greet - Upon arrival meet the ponies and learn all about them.

Pamper - Pamper and brush the ponies.

Ribbons - Decorate the ponies in a variety of ribbons and bows.

Riding - The children all enjoy a confidence giving unicorn/pegasus* ride. If they are feeling nervous they can help lead the pony instead. The rides are great fun and the children love watching each other! Riding hats are provided.

*Pegasus - Upgrade your party to wimged pegasus rides.

Facepainting/Glitter - Enjoy a magical facepainting/glittercreation with a sprinkle of magic.

Nail painting - Each child has their nails painted

Paperie - Themed picnic table set up

For the boys who don't fancy a unicorn party, we hold a knights and dragons party or a wild west party. Very similar schedule but a different theme.

Your own enchanted Fairytale

We are excited to introduce our new and exciting unicorn experience! This is the perfect solution to those not wanting a birthday party but still wanting to do something extra special by themselves or with family and friends..

Duration: 1 Hour

Where: Mobberley Miniatures

Cost: £110 per child

2nd child £45 (1 pony)

Wings/Horn: Please let us know if you have any particular colour requests.

Ponies: Maximum of 2 children per pony. Maximum of 2 ponies to book per session.

The sessions are individual sessions, so it will just be your child and your family/friends that take part.

The Unicorn experience is a personal session that is perfect for a unique and magical birthday surprise.

Its hard to put into words how brilliant these are, but they really are magical and give your child a taste of owning their very own unicorn.

Meet the residents of mobberley miniatures -Begin the session meeting some of the ponies , followed by meeting your own unicorn, and getting to know him.
Meet your Unicorn - The look on your childs face is pricess when they meet thier very own unicorn pegasus.
Unicorn handling - Lead your Unicorn out of the stable
Pamper session -Pamper and brush your unicorn.
Dress up - Decorate your unicorn in a variety of ribbons and bows.
Unicorn riding - Enjoy a magical ride on your unicorn with plenty of photo opportunities.
Unicorn bedtime - After you have finished riding, its time to put him back in his stable and give him a special treat to find.
Gift: Includes a special gift for your child.
Facepaint - Get creative and enjoy a magical facepainting creation to finish the day.

This experience is a very popular choice for those who are not looking to host a birthday party, but would love something more personal for a special birthday treat.

Private lessons and toddler sessions

Suitable from age 2

Please see drop down menu for info and prices. We offer intro sessions, toddler sessions, private children and private adult lessons and a ride and learn session.

The minimum age for riding is 2. Riding hats are provided. Please wear suitable footwear (boots/wellies). No smoking. No dogs. Please also note, the ponies are not dressed as unicorns for these sessions.

Simply get in touch either through Mobberley Miniature social media page, via this website or feel free to email, message or call me, Becky, on 07917004161 with the date, Venue (if applicable) and number of children (For parties). Once a booking is arranged, we ask for a *non refundable deposit to be paid within 48 hours to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the party/event date.

Cancellation Policy

Please read before booking

Please be aware of our cancellation policy prior to booking with Mobberley Miniatures.
Upon placing your booking with us you have entered a contract with ourselves - Mobberley Miniatures.

However, if you wish to cancel your booking date , a new hire date will be offered within a 60 day time scale.

Any payments/deposits previously made will be transferred to your new booking date.

Do you give horse riding lessons?

This is one of our most frequently asked questions! Mobberley Miniatures was established after noticing a gap in the market for children and ponies. We are best known for not only providing birthday parties, but also providing confidence pony grooming and riding experiences for children, especially ages 2-7.

The sessions can be taken as part of a group (midweek mini or a monday mini) or a private/semi private session. They are perfectly timed so the little ones do not lose interest with lots to do, whilst gaining confidence on the ground and on board the pony.

At the moment we don't provide horse riding lessons as such (Even though we have our riding school licence and I am a fully qualified coach) but in the near future we may do!

Where will parties take place?

We are able to offer pony parties at our premises or we can come to you!

Are the ponies well behaved?

In a nutshell, Yes. They are incredible. Both ponies have experienced a lot, even Harri aged just 5. They have been on film sets, beach rides, seen plenty of traffic, attended my children's parties/events, and they are handled and around very small children and lots of animals every day. However, they are still animals, and can make sudden and unexpected movements.

Can they be used for therapy?

Yes they can, ranging from children with special needs or learning difficulties to elderly people who are unwell. Animal assisted therapy is fantastic.

What age are the parties best suited for?

I think to get the most benefit from the themed parties, children aged 3 -8. However younger children have lots of fun too, but may need assistance from an adult helper.

How do I book a toddler session?

All details for this will be on my social media page (Facebook and Instagram).

How old do they need to be for pony rides?

The minimum age is 2 years old for pony rides. We have a special saddle that offers lots of support and security. We have a maximum weight limit of 4 and a half stone for the shetland ponies.

Booking terms

So you are thinking of enquiring over a birthday party or Unicorn experience at Mobberley Miniatures...

Once you have submitted your date/location (if elsewhere) we will get back to you with availability.
Details/site viewing
A Deposit will secure your date. an invoice will be sent with details. Please provide a phone number, an address and an email address. We allow 48 hours for deposits to be received, after this the date will be available again.
Remaining balance must be paid 24 hours before the party.
